Pro Knit Needle case

Trine asked me if I would make her a Pro Knit needle case for her and this is the result. I was inspired by the plastic needle cases that the needles are born with and www.duddelutte.blogspot.com . Trine is happy with the needle case and I am happy not to make one again. It requieres lots of math skills.

This is what I sent a very special lady for her birthday, 16th of January:

The notebook is made from a pattern in the book:

“Flowerpower patchwork”

The book shows beautiful colored patchwork project but I chose this quiet design for the notebook because I couldn’t find any fabric in a specific green color. So I decided to crochet a flower instead and made the notebook more discrete looking. Ok… I know… I am a chicken when it comes to using colors…. Sorry Karen but I hope you liked it anyway?

What the HECK happend?

These crochet needle cases are a custom order…or at least one of them is. Trine send me this beautiful fabric and when I ironed on the “volumenvlies” (couldn’t find the English word for the batting) the glue dots melted through the fabric. You might not be able to see it on the photo but I can asure you that there are plenty of ugly glue dots. I was totally in panic. I have never had that problem with “volumenvlies” before.

I decided to make Trine one more crochet needle case and hoped for the best. Trine was in her right to be angry with me but she was so nice. She didn’t get upset and even send me flowers!!!! Amazing….and she asked me to make her a knitting needle case! It is nice to know that she has faith in me.

Crochet needlebooks

An amazing blogger, www.karenklarbaek.blogspot.com helped me with some sewing challenges and as thank you I made her a crochet needlebook (my own design) and a cat toy with catnip and I found a pink knife for Nutella.

Karens friend also liked the crochet needlebook and asked if I would make her one. Wenche’s blog is just as amazing as Karen’s and you can find her here: www.tusindfryd-blog.blogspot.com. Wenche send me her favourite fabric and this is her crochet needlebook:

I made the crochet needlebook because I am tired of always having my crochet needles, pattern, scissor and needles in plastic bag when I am on the go. Crochet is such a nice craft when you travel.

Barbie Doll Clothes

I made my niece, Vigga, a present for the day of her baby sister’s christening. I didn’t want her to feel left out so I made her this….

The crochet mushrooms are made from a free pattern provided by a really nice blog: www.tusindfryd.blogspot.com

Oh my G… I found it difficult to make the doll clothes. I have no interest in sewing clothes what so ever but I am glad that I endured the “pain” because my niece glowed with happiness.

Even though summer has passed I want to show you my beach screen. We have no garden to provide any privacy when we are outside so I made this beach screen. Notice the cat in the corner of the screen.
